Butterflies Day 2

The larva got bigger today but they didn’t change much.  It looks to us they are a little fatter, but not longer.  Some larvas are long and some aren’t.  The larva will turn to a butterfly soon.  Some of the larva’s are going to turn colorful.  When the butterfly is fully grown it will be a little smaller than your hand.  All of the larvas have to eat to stay alive.  The butterfly will be able to fly. The name of the larva is a painted butterfly.  Mostly all of the butterfly’s are scared of humans.  Some of them are scared of spiders because they would get eaten.  Butterflies are an insect.  Some butterflies use their colorful wings to blend in with something.  Larva’s take weeks to turn in to butterflies.  Once they have grown into an adult they fly away so they can make a family.  Bloggers:  Jamie and Eric
