We Have Butterflies!

There are 12 butterflies in the cage. They are leaking the red liquid right now. There are 4 chrysalises in the cage right now. The butterflies are hanging upside down in the cage. One more came out of the chrysalis. The butterflies are Painted Lady Butterflies. There are five butterflies on the bottom of the cage. I think that the butterflies are cute in my opinion. The butterflies are trying to fly inside the cage. The butterflies have little red and white spots.
Eleven of the chrysalises turn into butterflies and there are five chrysalises that have not turned into butterflies. We are raising painted ladies. I think that butterflies look like moths. Did you know that butterflies need the sun to fly? Our butterflies are in a cage so they don’t fly away. Did you know that a butterfly is like a life cycle? My favorite butterfly is the painted lady because it is very colorful. The best thing about butterflies is that they are so colorful.

They go through four stages which are the egg stage, the larva stage, the chrysalis, then the adult stage. The kind of butterflies we have are called Painted Lady butterflies. It pump liquid out of his wings. I think the butterflies look awesome. I hope we can do another project like this one again.

The chrysalis turned into butterflies. There are 11 in our cage and 4 are chrysalis. I think that they turned into butterflies too fast to be seen. I wonder if Ms . Cook is going to let them go free! This is their last part of their life cycle. I like having butterflies in our class room .
We have exactly 13 butterflies. Our butterflies are already pumping red liquid into their wings. We have 2 chrysalises. The butterfly larva was the cool to watch. I like the butterflies personally because there fun to watch and inspiring to me. My favorite insect is the butterfly. The butterflies can’t fly because there in the classroom and they need sunlight to fly.

The painted lady butterflies just sit and stay still. They flap their wings to make them dry. They also climb the wall most of the time. They also fly some times.
The butterflies in our class are doing really well. They have been getting closer to the adult form. They have started putting the liquid in their wings. They are painted lady butterflies. I think they are beautiful. I am on how are they are going to fly. Like birds or some other kind of animal that flies. I think that it will fly like a bird. I know they will end up with some pretty colors on their bodies. I know that they have eggs. There are a lot of different kinds of butterflies around the world. I know that the adult form of a butterfly is a part of the life cycle.
Guess what a bunch of the butterflies emerged from the chrysalis. It is so cool they are all flying around the place. Some of them are still chrysalis. The ones that are hatched are drying their wings and warming up. Only a couple of them are chrysalis. I feel amazed on how the butterflies hatched. I hope we can do this again. Here is the butterfly life cycle 1 egg a female butterfly leaves an egg on a leaf. 2 larvas it hatches from the egg and it crawls on a branch and explores. 3 chrysalises it makes a web so it fall when it comes out. 4 butterflies when it emerges from the chrysalis it warms up and pump blood into the wings. They have a red liquid to pump in their wings.

That was the first time I ever saw a caterpillar it was also the first time I ever saw a butterfly. I never saw a chrysalis. Most of the butterflies climb the wall.
There is 12 butterflies and 3 chrysalis I feel happy to see a real butterfly go through the four stages of life. It’s been fun watching them go through the larva stage, pupa stage, chrysalis and finally the adult stage. I can’t wait to see them fly away in to the beautiful sunset.

So now there are 5 chrysalises and 12 butterflies. Some butterflies are flapping their wings. Some are still pumping red liquid. Mrs. Cook wanted to put water for the butterflies. When Mrs. Cook opened the butterfly cage there was 1 butterfly that wanted to fly. Mrs. Cook but sugar water for the butterflies. There are some butterflies spreading their wings. The butterflies can’t fly because the class room needs more sun light for the butterflies so they can fly. Now there are only 2 chrysalises and now there are 13 butterflies.

I think the butterflies are excited for their return to their home outside of the cage. I think that the butterflies will have a wonderful life without people starring at them all of the time. The colors that were on the butterflies wings are so pretty that I want to keep them forever and ever.
